idk how I feel about this... didnt the CDC once say people who were vaccinated could still GET covid but won't die from it? what if someone who is vaxxed is in close relation to someone who is covid positive?

That Republican stigma is about to disappear bc of this. Not wearing a mask isn’t inherently anti-science anymore.

It'll take a while to dissapear, at least where I live unfortunately

In my country, where only people with an immunity card can be (for example hotels, sport and cultural facilities and events), there is no need for mask and social distancing. In places where there may be unvaccinated people, everyone should wear a mask. (Everyone can get vaccinated within days if they want to.)

Your country is an authoritarian police state then.

Same. I never really had a problem with masks :fan:

To be honest I am too. My allergies have never been better and I have not had a cold since the pandemic started. But I'm happy that I'll feel safe in a movie theater and a restaurant.

This too! :tony:

Also, I haven't heard how likely vaccinated people are to pass the virus. I don't want to be spreading it to people who can't get vaccinated just because I'll be fully vaxxed soon.

People are so going to lie about being vaxxed. I read something (I think the New York Times) that said there's already a cottage industry of people selling forged vaccine cards online. Republicans are so annoying.

So, though I'm fully vaxxed, I'm going to still wear my mask indoors. If nothing else, just to annoy anti-vaxxers. :ohwell:

By the end of June, all EU countries will have introduced a vaccination passport / app.

We learn more and more every day. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are highly, highly effective - even against new variants. We also now know that vaccinated people can't even spread it from infected people to unvaccinated.

Economy

I know its controversial but i still support a vaccine support

Those of us who are vaccinated and pose minimal risk shouldnt have to have the same restrictions as antivaxxers...

I want my life back...  ppl who refuse to take them and prolongue pandemic and force restrictions to be in place longer shouldnt be forcing that on me :koons:

This definitely seems to be a strategy for getting more people to get vaccinated. Since lots of people were making the excuse to not get vaccinated bc things wouldn't actually be any different for them, still having to wear a mask and distance.

Not sure how I feel about it. I'm in a state with high vaccination adoption, and just a week ago our counties were at risk of rolling back to stricter lockdowns due to rises in hospitalizations. So it feels weird to then say "ditch the masks."

All the latest evidence suggests it's close to zero:

“Whether you completely eliminate the ability to transmit the disease, still a bit undetermined but I would say it’s looking more optimistic than say a month or two ago when we really didn’t have any idea to what level vaccinated people could transmit,” said Dr. Pothof.
