I will wear a mask when around a lot of people and will not when there's no reason to. 🤷‍♂️

Great news. I still follow the science and will also still wear masks as a sign of respect and to prevent getting sick from (and spreading) other illnesses wherever I am at.

Watch antivaxers, extreme right wingers and others use this as an excuse to go around without a mask, have massive gatherings etc.

Well I mean, they're doing this already, so not much will change there.

I'll continue to follow my local mask mandates and to mask up in stores and what-not, especially during cold and flu season, but I will slowly return to dining out again. Yesterday I went for a mani/pedi/brow wax (kept on mask the whole time) and then for lunch after, and it was nice to feel kind of normal. And I'm back to working out indoors.

(I'm more than two weeks out from my second Pfizer shot, so yes, I'm fully vaxxed.)

I’m getting my second shot on Monday, so I’ll still take precautions for a couple more weeks but it’s time to go back to real life

The question is - will businesses adapt to this change? Will I be allowed to enter a store, restaurant etc. without a mask? Because how will they know whether or not I've been vaccinated? We need to show our vaccine cards everywhere? Seems hard to regulate.

Don't forget to wait a couple of weeks for your body to achieve maximum immunity!

Wearing a mask is such an easy way to prevent spreading illnesses that I’m surprised we never did this sooner, apart from East Asian cultures where mask wearing was already normalized. I remember just accepting my fate that I would get sick if a close friend or family member got sick, when all I could have done was wear a mask to significantly decrease my chances. While we might not need masks to the same extent soon, I think they should remain part of our culture as a sign of personal and interpersonal hygiene and respect.

I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

That’s what I mean! I got my 2nd shot 4 days ago, I’m staying careful and wearing masks until then :)

Try TheraBreath mouthwash (bright green and orange bottle). Made a thread about it a while ago. Controlling bad breath germs could really help out your skin and that mouthwash has worked really well for people I know and myself.
