Producer who understood GAGA SOUND the most

I think they all brought her vision to life but her visions have changed the time when she worked with each one of them. Since OP mentioned Garibay, I wonder why we don’t talk about him that much and why Gaga never brought him back to another album moment.

I’m biased to say RedOne as he and Gaga basically created what we now call Gaga sound so...

i really want to know why you guys think Mark is an answer to this,  don't get me wrong I love Joanne but i think it sounds more like his style than hers, not saying it wasn't her idea or anything like that

i mean for sure you can hear his influence over the record and it is her only solo album which is not dance pop music

Because he pushed her to start writing about her reality head on instead of working purely with the fantasy elements that made up her work from 2008-2013, and she's become a better storyteller for it. Also I don't think Joanne really sounds like Mark Ronson at all, because, much like Gaga, Mark Ronson doesn't have just one sound. Gaga went to him because he knew he could pull something out of her that nobody else could. She wanted to make a very specific album, and Mark kept her vision for it on track.

DJWS and Fernando Garibay.

Although I think Mark Ronson had a special talent of pushing Gaga in areas/genres/limits/idek and I liked that. I want to see more work from them together.

Agree with this^ :flutter:

I love that she and Ronson subverted my expectations entirely. I was dreading a "Lady Gaga's Uptown Funk" moment but what we got with Joanne was spectacular. Easily some of her most solid work.

I wanna throw in two new names and say - Madeon and DarkChild.

(Not necessarily the most but I feel they definitely have great chemistry with her.)

Madeon always throws in these beautiful chaotic synths which to me is so GAGA. (MJH Bridge, 911 chorus, Gypsy too)

And I also love the way Telephone sounds and production-wise it's like a quintessential Gaga track.

Fernando Garibay, Redone, and DJWS are the only ones who’ve truly captured Gaga’s sound

RedOne helped shape her signature sound for the first few years of her career, but she definitely moved further and further away from that sound, I feel. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that RedOne tended to create sonically cohesive productions within the context of his overall portfolio. If you heard a RedOne production, you'd know it was his. That to me does not translate to 'This is a Gaga song.'

I'd like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ava Max, and her team, for giving me what I've been waiting years for, from Lady Gaga: more RedOne :toofunny: (Angel Down does NOT count)

Spoiler

But, to answer the question, RedOne, DJWS, Fernando

Garibay allowed Madonna to use Born This Way mashed with Express yourself in the mdna tour.

I'd say DJWS too. His tracks sound most custom-made to Gaga's vision, and he has the ability to morph his sound along with all of Gaga's transformations.

At the same time I feel like Garibay helped Gaga reach a creative peak with Born This Way, and helped shape that entire album to fit Gaga's vision at the time. But his sound is very distinct, and didn't evolve the way Gaga does.

Of course producers like RedOne, Bloodpop, Zedd and Ronson did amazing work with her, but their tracks feel a bit like a trade-off. They really excel at creating a specific versions of Gaga, where DJWS really seems to get the "enigmatic" part of her.
