It was not just randomly mentioned in an article though. That was THE announcement for Tony’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and they included a still from the C3C documentary as well.

The whole article announced his diagnosis and then talked about his whole life and career, but there was just a casual mention of the album somewhere in the article, as if it was an already known fact, or something unimportant. In fact, if I hadn't seen this article shared on GGD on that day, I still would have no idea about all of this at all.

Regardless of my negative feelings surrounding the entirety of the Gaga team the past handful of years, Gaga has always kind of did "collabs" with smaller artists/ dj's/ producers. Even in earlier TF/TFM days, a lot of those remixes were from artists/dj's who were up and coming. Same with BTW and ARTPOP. Think TEOG Porter Robinson remix or Madeon's involvement on ARTPOP for example. Both of them were up and coming on the edm scene. Although I cackled at the OP, just the discussion in this thread kinda needs a bit of a reminder of that I feel. It was a small part of why I loved Gaga in the first place. Giving the underdogs/ up and coming artists a chance. Just because she rarely has had features on tracks, doesn't mean she didn't collab with artists.

Idk what will come of this "remix" album, or rather what I would consider a re-release with a bunch of vocal features, but I don't think anyone should "swine their nose" at "lesser known artists" in the GP world.

Well, if I were Gaga I’d say to Bloodpop that the remixes doesn’t sound match her style like he said to „ARTPOP little sister”. For sure, if it’s his remixes, then it will sound generic as always, Gaga should really work with DJWS 😣

I think it wasn't supposed to be the album announcement yet, so it's okay if people are not aware yet. Or else they would have included the album title and other info. It was mostly a feature on Tony.

LMs: I hate how BloodPop almost treats Chromatica as his personal project!

Also LMs: Yasss, DJWS! He has every right to milk ARTPOP, it's as much his album as it is Gaga's.

I swear if Dorian is on the album… I’d actually lose respect for Gaga if she gave that the green light. Since when are meme entertainers “artists” especially when Dorian very clearly knows they’re bad & can’t sing & everyone just plays along to be in on the joke. It’s an actual joke.

Literally every single major media outlet reported about the album almost minutes after the AARP article came out (which included a really poignant and heartbreaking paragraph about the album, not just a casual mention like you said), not to bring up the several viral tweets like the one below. Maybe you just need to read the article properly and look for information outside GGD

I think the problem is that it's not coming from Gaga herself and she hasn't mentioned the remix album in any way yet. I know she's busy so that's probably why she hasn't spoken about it I guess, but people are finding it weird that only BP is constantly talking and revealing info about it while the main artist herself is not. And add to that the fact that BP trolls people sometimes so not everyone trusts him I guess? Idk I think if Gaga spoke about it even in 1 tweet, people would chill a little with the messes

It's a remix album. He's gonna remix it. Why would then Gaga talk about it? I mean I understand it's her album as well, but I don't get your point. Why complaining?

At least he’s doing something about it (hopefully) I’d rather bloodpop’s project than nothing

Yes, that's why I find it weird, this is such a big news that two big artists are going to release an album soon, mentioning it like that in the middle of an article kind of spoils the official announcement.

And I read the article that was linked in the GGD post, what makes you think otherwise? I haven't heard about it anywhere else, and if I, a Gaga fan, didn't hear about this anywhere, I can't imagine regular people have. It's not an announcement, I don't even know what to call it.

And yes that's random because the article is about his whole life, career and achievements, that's weird to mention this album that nobody knew about in the middle, as if it was part of all the things that readers already know about. The disease was the big announcement, so throwing another big news between different things he's done just feels off.

I hope we agree that shedding light on Tony's condition and letting people know his and his family's struggles has far greater significance than spoiling an official announcement of an album. I don't think that's any of their managements' priority right now.

HuffsAhoy

I'm surprised none of the many professional musicians we have on this forum have not reached out to Bloodpop to offer their expert guidance. After all, they claim to know better than a 12 time Grammy winner when it comes to running a music empire. :oprah:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Yes, that's partly why I think they should have kept that piece of information away, the article was supposed to be about that. It was sad to see the struggles he had while recording the album and how Gaga was in pain to see him going through that, but having this revelation in the middle spoilt it in both ways. If it was supposed to build up some kind of excitement for the album to come, it was bad taste.
