Jose P 23,341
I know many here will say 1989 only cuz it’s her “pop perfection” era, but honestly it’s Red.
FentyGa 14,340
evermore is her best, 1989 is her biggest, but i think folklore is her most significant work. i think people will look back at it as her most groundbreaking project
spector 1,918
it’s everklore. a tie between the sister albums. if i had to choose, i’d say: folklore, with a slight margin, just because it feels more cohesive as a record. it’s very hard, tho: tay is arguably one of the greatest songwriters of her generation. hardly ever does she pen a weak song. stella + elliot = stelliot
weed 72,859
1989 is her biggest, magnum opus of success, but Folklore was the final confirmation that she is, in fact, the music industry.

socotra 3,294
I think folklore/evermore taken together is her best work and what she'll be most remembered for. Unlike Reputation, Lover, or 1989 (which are my personal favorites of hers), the music on folklore and evermore feels so timeless and sturdy. I also don't think she's ever released an album that felt bigger culturally. In the same Born This Way is forever tied into the LGBTQ+ movement in the United States, folklore will be remembered as the pandemic album. Its cottagecore aesthetic surprise-released in the middle of July at a time that many of us were stuck inside is integral its appeal. It also was a massive career pivot for her – I don't know if I would call the whole album "indie" or "alternative" like some people have, though some tracks definitely are, but it's also 100% not country, and thus different from her earlier albums. It was uncharted territory that she was guaranteed to excel in because she's a great songwriter (as opposed to her songs that venture more into trap/rap that, while I like those songs, feel less genuine and more tacky). That said, I think Reputation is her "pop perfection" album. I like it track by track much better than 1989. Virtually every song on the record is a bop. It's the album that made me a fan and it's honestly just so fun – it reminds me of ARTPOP, where the material is great and it's the artist just having a good time, but was completely misunderstood by the fanbase and GP alike. Gets a bad rap for no reason.
