I have just released a new song from my album that will be released later this year (I won't give many more details for now, until everything is ready). This is the second song and sonically different from the previous one for those who have listened to it, but the album will come as cohesive in the end, when all songs are done! So, it's called Can't dance the pain away and here it is! chromatic puzea 10,097 Posted April 30, 2021 Share Posted April 30, 2021 ooh i really like the lyrics and vocal effects at first, i wasn't a fan of the tempo change but i feel that it matches the song it starts of slow as you sing about your struggles and then the chorus speeds up as you try hopelssly to dance the pain away, but then you admit to not being able to dance it away so it slows back down again and then it repeats i really loved the ending excited to see the video!!! hard to even fathom which parts you should believe Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I worked on it with the producer, he was also confused by the tempo change and not sure it would work, but when the instrumental was ready, I thought it was really perfect this way. I think the delivery of the lines and the vocal effects take some getting used to but it's still cool. The sudden change to a danceable chorus is quite a surprise and has a really cool effect over it. Reminds me of something Kiesza might sing.
