It's a pretty open and shut case tbh.

I think they go on trial next? I haven't heard anything though but they're definitely accessories to murder.

On a human level, the stress and grief felt today by Floyd's loved ones must have been overwhelming. Hopefully this act of accountability can offer them some solace.

Nothing will ever make up for the grief and anger they must be experiencing, but I am so happy they have a sense of justice and closure. I don't think anyone can heal from loss, let alone one as tragic and cruel as George Floyd's murder.

Glad to see he's convicted and nothing will ever make up for George's death and the pain his family has been feeling this year but that is just ONE cop that was in the eyes of the world almost a year ago. Imagine all the other injustices that happen every day. I hope this does change history for the better and it's a step in the right direction.

The only hope now is that he doesn't win an appeal. As good as politicians intentions were to make their thoughts on this case known, having influential figureheads speaking out on this case and making it clear he's guilty before a trial could be potential cause to support a belief that this wasn't a fair trial. Any attempt to sway public and jury opinion can result in accusations of an abuse of influence. Now, winning an appeal is actually very rare and I doubt the court wants to face the wrath of the public if they reduce his sentence but I don't like to think that there's any possible way he could weasel his way out of this even so. It's best to make your statements after trial to avoid this possibility. At the end of the day, though, does it even matter if this was a "fair" trial? The evidence is there for all to see and no rational person would believe that such actions couldn't have resulted in fatality. And it turns out, looking through his records, that this officer has previous for similar incidents. About 22 different reports filed on him and nothing was done. So, his punishment covers a lot of things and partly makes up for the others that he abused in his position.
