Why is everyone buying ARTPOP?

Why is everyone buying the album gaga and DJWS have said was a bad time and is obviously not the album that they wanted it to be and completely snubbing Chromatica  you know, the one that everyone complains isn't being promoted enough  

am i the only one that thinks it's kind of weird

Oh no, you're right, it's very very weird. But it was #1 on iTunes after 9 years, that's pretty damn cool. 

Anyway, it was DJWS and Act 2 conversations that kind of stirred all this up. All the Act 2 demands/petition mess is why they're trying to pump up the album atm.

I just hope people don't forget Chromatica over this... because it still is her current work, so don't forget to also stream Chromatica gurls

Although it was an album that was made during a hard time, many fans have a special connection to it. 

The era was very attached to passion, and very connected to freedom of creation. I mean, I know it's better to live in the present and support the current work, but I find it sweet that people want to show their love for a previous time. 

Idk. I haven't bought the album again, but I still enjoy streaming it from once in a while.

If people like it, it's a good thing they buy it, no matter how bad it was back then, I'm sure Gaga and DJWS still like the music they made so that's what matters.

What I find weird is the concept of buying something you already own just to make it top the charts.

Tbh I find it so weird to buy many copies of an album you already own, whever it is ARTPOP or Chromatica as suggested in the OP

those artists already make millions & millions while we are all poor

Well it’s only going to be a 1 week wonder on BB200, maybe 150-OUT, and then we can go back to hoping Chromatica is promoted and re-enters the BB200

Movements like this make me realize that there are two types of fans:
a. The ones who will purchase an album multiple times to get an artist as high on the charts.
b. The ones who don't. 

I fall into b.
I already bought it on iTunes and I bought a physical copy when it was originally released.
Interscope and Gaga already got my coins.

I think because there’s still something that we would love to have (Act II), and there’s a realization that the Chromatica era may be wrapped. So we gotta push for something, we’re bored lol. 
I hope we push for Frankensteined and the RedOne tracks next.

This. I support with streaming and back in the day when i used to buy physical albums i always bought the ones from my fav artists

 

But im not obsessed enough to dish out a bunch of my hard earned money to try and make artist chart higher... especially an artist that is already rich
