Glamourpuss 29,062 Posted April 19, 2021 Share Posted April 19, 2021 I can kind of understand her point of view because when you have problems with addiction and a eating disorder they are constantly on your mind and seeing those diet things were triggering for her. But I feel it's not something for the company to fix, but a problem that she needs to fix. She knows it's a trigger for her and she needs to find a way to keep that in check like everybody else with triggers. I understand her frustration with diet culture but sugar-free products aren’t only for people on a diet (oftentimes sugar-free versions aren’t even less calories) so I’m not sure it contributes that. I still don’t agree with her publicly shaming the business. At first I thought it was another froyo chain but it’s actually just one shop, who have probably been struggling to stay afloat during Covid. She is privileged and will never understand what that’s like. Basically I think she could’ve opened up a conversation about diet culture in a better way.
