ANY album Gaga released at that specific moment in her career would have been dragged (whether it was ARTPOP, Joanne or Chromatica). The media, public and Twitter stans were ready to tear her apart. The backlash was more to do with Gaga's over-exposure and people tiring of her eccentric antics. They were looking for any reason to knock her down and would have found one regardless of the project. The music itself was fairly well received; Applause was one of her biggest radio hits ever and people were obsessed with DWUW. It's not that the album almost lost her everything, it was that particular moment in her career that did - looking back, that kind of "downfall" was inevitable. ARTPOP is an iconic moment in pop culture, people loved to hate it but a lot of people now share that they actually like the album (and probably always did, it was just trendy to hate on her). Releasing an EP of unreleased tracks from it would be legendary. The internet would lose it's mind and eat it up. Times have changed, music consumption has changed, people love nostalgia and irony; the promo from the hype and memes alone would send it to number one. She could always release Act II later. 2023 even if they want to do a 10 year anniversary release. DJWS himself made it clear that it is something that still has to be worked on to be fully complete and released. So there’s no just dropping it without at least some work and prep on that side - and I’m sure even if it was only 8 songs let’s say, they still would want to promote that in some way. I totally not see it as Thank you for doing this but you ain't getting anything. I don't pretend to be delusional but, to me this really means she's thinking about it. I don't think she is planning to release the full ARTPOP Act II album but thinking about gifting us something for making the petition and giving ARTPOP the justice it deserves by giving several #1 for the album on iTunes. She knows we love it. She even has performed non-ARTPOP singles during the last 4 years (Coachella and Enigma) to make us happy. She completely knows and understands everything. It wouldn't surprise me if she releases a song like TEA by surprise when she wants. And for those of you who say we are hurting her by remembering ARTPOP, you were finally proved wrong this morning.
