That's because the album came out in May 2020, not last month.

To quote you, "just open up her Insta feed" and scroll back to release week/month/year. She put out plenty of content for Chromatica, including photoshoots, interviews, behind the scenes videos, promo videos, and so much more, but for some reason you are choosing to ignore that.

Your whole argument is based on the posts she makes on her Instagram, but Instagram didn't exist during the BTW era. If it did, she would post about Farmville, Virgin Mobile, Beats by Dre etc., just like she does about Haus Labs, Tudor, and Oreo today.

So she can be silent about the content 1 year after releasing an Album but using it's aesthetic for selling products that have nothing to do with Chromatica or her artistry as an musician has no expiration date?

And thats why Gagas authenticity, Chromatica and its meaning behind faides away for me. It started out as an meaningful, deep-thought about album cycle and is still one of my favorite albums of hers. And no, I'm not ignoring her promotion at all, I was excited about it back then.

I have no problem with Virgin Mobile or other product placement that is interveined into the narrative of the artist Gaga is. Because brands support Gaga. She looses me as a fan when it's the other way around. Gaga supports brands, not brands support Gaga.

Let's wait for the Nick Knight collab, and see. We waited years for this to happen

I agree with both of you to some extent, and I don't want to see you fight or whatever, however, even though you made a point with the words I quoted, it also works the other way around: Chromatica promo almost doesn't exist outside of Instagram :spin:

That's bc there was a panini

“I’m not ignoring her promotion“ yes you are, that’s why you are talking about the brand deal, but not about a million things she has done for the album.

"I have no problem with Virgin Mobile or other product placement that is interveined into the narrative of the artist Gaga is." Gaga was selling $100 headphones for Dr. Dre six months into her career that had nothing to do with her music. She has been doing deals like this since day 1, the only difference is that her fans didn’t enjoy complaining about it back then.

You really need to stop with this narrative because it doesn’t make sense. Gaga was selling $100 headphones for Dr. Dre six months into her career that had nothing to do with her music. She has been doing deals like this since day 1, the only difference is that her fans didn’t enjoy complaining about it back then.

This topic is about the dom perignon collab, so why can't I share my opinion on this topic without getting accused of "having a narrative with nonsense"? If I don't like it, I talk about it, and this collab doesn't feel right to me.

I supported Gaga alot through the years, as everyone here I assume. You can check my profile, if you think I am a hater. I praised her for Rain on me, or her behind the scenes stuff, bought merch and tour tickets. I'm not one to complain easy on here but everyone on here should be entitled to their opinion without being slaughterd.

No you are not just sharing your opinion "on this topic", you were talking about Gaga as an artist and questioning her authenticity. And I was responding to you.

Your whole argument was that her brand deals were somehow different before, and I explained to you that she's been doing these types of deals since day 1.

And I explained you that her deals in the past didn't bother me as much as these nowadays. Cause Gaga used them to push her artistry like the iconic sandwich scene in Telephone. Gaga used Brands, not brands using Gaga.

Let's agree to disagree.

actually this little bit of a tease made me listen to the album again. The last time I listened to it was when the Chromatica Oreos got released and I realised the SC tease was all for nothing:party:

Personally, I think you are making a fair point.

While Gaga has always done brand deals, the balance between art and comercialism leaned more in the direction of art. That balance shifted during the Chromatica era. Which may not be important to some fans, but it’s reasonable if others are disappointed.

I think the ads and sponsors are now more into your face because gaga doesnt bother to really promote it anymore (and to explain her artistry side) and let the commercial partners to take charge.

I remember she used to explain the product placement in Telephone MV

That's not true, the only thing that doesn't exist promo-wise is performances. There has been plenty of photoshoots, interviews, promo videos, merch, a radio show, and so much more.

You really think that the Chromatica Era was plenty of these ? Seriously ? Were you here during TF/TFM and BTW Eras ?

Are you not questionning her artistic side and her authenticity when the product that she try to sale is not even buyable by 99,99% of her fans ?
