Leoooo 2,266
Obviously, it is literally the definition of fresh. Lively, full of energy and flavour. It is all down to opinion, if you dont like some of it you obviously wouldnt consider it fresh, but imo, it never sounds dated or completely attached to a time period. LilyLark 9,957
Fresh/dated is kind of a complex concept when it comes to music. It's almost impossible to make "timeless" music when you're talking about pop due to production. Doesn't mean that some songs still aren't bangers, though, even if the production isn't "fresh." There's a reason people still dance to Madonna songs from the 80s, after all. Also, a lot of pop stars purposefully reference older sounds in their work...like Dua, Kylie, Gaga, etc. have all done so.
Gorehound 4,179
I love Gaga's music. It's my top guilty pleasure and I massively appreciate how imaginative and creative it is. Although I'll be honest and say that I've never considered Gaga's music to be very good taste. I would never say it's fresh. (Tbf I feel the same with most modern pop music lol). I'm fine, Ta
TimisaMonster 31,073
Well Chromatica is on trend for the nostalgic 90s house vibe in music so yeah kinda But Joanne was not...when tropical house was more trendy...she tried with The Cure but no lol Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Guest
For me, the only album I keep in the freezer is The Fame. But everyone likes some chicken nuggets every now and then, right?
AntonTurnItUp 7,068
No, but her music is still better than today's "fresh" music
Ashley 8,830
Chromatica, Joanne, TFM, ASIB, and Cheek to Cheek are fresh to me. TF and BTW aren’t but they’re still nice throwbacks.

Mr S 8,436
My answer is NO. She has always done her own thing and never followed the trend, which is great, but for whatever reason her music has never been fresh or cutting edge, at least not since TFM. While I enjoyed Chromatica, some of the productions was embarrassing, like something on Charlie Puth level.

I never knew this! 1:03 It's not actually sampled though. There's an interview from 2009 where she gets asked about it and says it might've been subconscious but it wasn't intentional.
