Reminder its only a "claim" they found the link, it's not peer reviewed findings. Also it's still a lot safer than the risks you take daily. This is pretty much a non-story tbh.

Take astrazeneca if its offered to you.

Dont tell me what to do.

This is only an issue due to the vast amount of people taking it at once.

My grandfather died from the flu jab. There's always a risk, if the rollout had taken place over 5 years, for example, this wouldn't even be reported on.

For any US members in here, y'all don't even have to worry about this since we don't use AstraZeneca in the country :giggle:

We manufacture our own vaccines; Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson.

This is more to rest of the world issues since they are importing AstraZeneca. But anyway, nobody in UK, where this vaccine come from, seems to be in this serious issues, and they have vaccinated more or less half of their population. Even WHO also said it is safe to use.

It is just curious that it is only becoming a problem when it arrives in Germany. It could be just political ploy to attack England, probably still pressed that The UK left the EU, who knows :giggle:

Other EU have reported blood clot issues before Germany, Germany was actually the last EU country to suspend usage of AstraZeneca (because of an unusually high number of blood clots after vaccination compared to the average population) and it is the first country in the EU to have relaunched AstraZeneca (they did yesterday, AstraZeneca usage was effectively only suspended for 2-3 days).

And this is why I'm only going with Pfizer. :gum:

Same. That's probably the only one I trust

Such comments make me so angry. Pfizer has the same side effects!!! :poot:

The reason nobody talks about it is because Pfizer holds the liability, while for AstraZ the EU holds it. They were scared of getting sued so they stopped it.

Also the risk is 6 in a Million. The chance is higher that you die from a simple medic against a headache.

I hope politics won’t allow choosing the vaccine. There is not enough and it is so so important every shot is given out.

Every medic has sideeffects. And its such privileged thinking wanting too choose while some countries struggle to even get a vaccine.

I got AstraZeneca and would do it again in a blink of an eye

Also this:

People who smoke, drink, take pain killers, or any other type of pill better not complain about this.

All of those can kill you MUCH easier than any type of vaccine can.

The cases are only linked to the vaccine. The vaccine alone probably don’t causes this blood clotting. It has to be a mixture with something else like the birth control pill for example.

We don’t have the luxury to choose. This is a situation we can only manage by putting personal choices aside and be there for the community.

Don’t be! Get it :)

I’ve got it too. The cases are so rare! Just read what I posted two comments above.

You probably get a fever and thats it. Which is a normal reaction of your immune system.

99% probability you'll be fine. And if you're in the 1% that aren't, the OP says the scientists have identified treatment for the clotting so as long as you're sensible about your health, you'll also be fine.

This! Actually the exact number to get blood clotting from AstraZeneca is 0,0006%

“30 cases of blood-clot events had been reported among close to 5 million Europeans given the AstraZeneca shot, according to the Amsterdam-based EMA, or 0.0006%.”

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-03-16/blood-clot-reports-astrazeneca-vaccine-caution-can-have-side-effects

And by the looks of it the people who got blood clotting were already people who were at risk to get em

Thank you both x I understand all the factual evidence, I guess its more nerve racking having a rare autoimmune disease.. I've had multiple conversations with my doctor and I understand the implications of not getting the shot, so I am ready to get it. Just nervous is all :huntyga:
