Here's a more detailed take https://www.wsj.com/articles/scientists-say-they-found-cause-of-blood-clotting-linked-to-astrazeneca-vaccine-11616169108 Two teams of medical researchers in Norway and Germany have independently found that the vaccine could trigger an autoimmune reaction causing blood to clot in the brain, which would offer an explanation for isolated incidents across Europe in recent weeks. Once diagnosed, the condition should be treated with blood thinning medication and immunoglobulin, which targets the antibody that causes the problem.“We believe the most likely hypothesis is that this particular vaccine is causing a rare autoimmune reaction that triggers antibodies, which then interact with the platelets, but we don’t know why this is happening,” Dr. Klamroth said. Chromatography 10,186
serious side effects are for any drug. im on birth control and a potential side effect is blood clotting. you have to weigh the risks and benefits for yourself but this is not anything to be shocked about
Mother of Puppies 36,615
I read that this happens more often in young women, which is why France for instance is recommending it for the elderly and not for young women.. and in Germany they recommend it for everyone... The thing is: My mother had when she was only 35 several strokes and blood clots and she is actually allergic against heparin, which is used to "cure" it. So she is obviously not gonna get AstraZeneca with her medical history... but as I'm her daughter I'm a bit concerned that I also have a tendency for that... So I'd rather have any other vaccine THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

My country is still waiting to buy some Sputniks. Because COVAX has failed everyone, basically. Сее у соон, цомрадeс. Same here. We're barely getting any vaccines. And now the private sector is getting 1 million doses of Sputnik with is great but the problem is that it's not free. It's gonna be 38$ per 2 shots, which would have been relatively fine had the country not been experiencing one of the worst economic crises ever. Our currency has witnessed a devaluation of around 90% (so far) and most people have no $ to pay to begin with. Whatever people have, they're keeping for food and basic needs that already cost a fortune. It's all a pile of sh!t at this point. AND on top of that we're getting record deaths almost daily but the government decided to open bars starting Monday.. Soft, soothing, and succulent
