I'm pretty sure she had to audition for the role. (she once said she wants to work for it and not just get offered roles because of her name)

 

So if they weren't sure if she could do this, she wouldn't have been cast in the first place.

From what I've seen on Goldderby Ridley Scott is known for being very fast in every aspect of movie-making so I wouldn't be nervous about it. He knows what he's doing.

Eh I understand your feeling. + after the success and acclaim of ASIB, there is a lot of pressure for her, people will definitely be more harsh with her acting for her second big movie

I mean she was rehearsing for Coachella, planning for the Joanne World Tour and shooting A Star Is Born at the same time too. She also had to write the music.

She always delivers and puts in all she has. I also think Gaga herself is partly successful because she started out with a fast paced music career with constant change in theatrics and personas, unlike other actors who probably are not that comfortable with quick changes. I definitely wouldn’t be worried.

Scott Ridley is very known for filming movies at a quick pace, and at the end of the day, it’s a movie that doesn’t require complex sets, stunts, and special effects, so it can be done pretty quickly.

Shoots like this are usually pretty planned out prior to shooting. They're probably doing all location-work, exterior shots first, and then they'll shoot the rest later on. Maybe even back in the US.

Plus, we have no idea how much they've actually shot already. For all we know, all we've seen so far is just one montage sequence.

Its not o ly 3 days shooting... probably will be about 30 days or something plus extras shooting if necessary (after the first cut some directors tend to reshoot some scenes)
