Is 911 a positive or negative song?

I feel like it’s a neutral confession or almost exorcism of dependency. A self realization that I am my own worst enemy. Because the rest of the album leads to Babylon.

I see this song as the materialization of all the things she said and studies about Radical Acceptance, the mantra 'my biggest enemy is me' is more of a way to accept that so she can move on and work on it than self-deprecation

I don't know how to write in english

It’s about needing drugs to be mentally stable, I’m not sure how happy that topic can be

Not happy things are not always negative.

It can be neutral.

Accepting that you have something and you need medication for it to be ok and you are going to be ok is not really sad or depressing, at least to me.

Unhappy, I love it but singing the chorus to yourself is kinda problematic :bear:

That’s the problem. Every time the chorus hits my brain starts eating these words like it’s the truth :laughga:

There’s a different between glorification and normalization of mental illness and medication. Gaga isn’t glorifying it, she’s expressing the pain she gets from her illness and how she needs drugs to cope. That’s not really a positive topic.

Again, bringing light to the topic of mental health and managing medication...allowing others who struggle to connect with another person...not really negative. Tough subject, but it's something that happens and I'm glad Gaga is able to talk about it.

Love this interpretation. I always feel this way when I listen to the album: that every step of the journey is completely essential and that it all culminates at the joyous release of Babylon.
