I don't understand why people still refer to them as allegations when he himself admitted that he f*cked up

Edit: okay so apparently he admitted to it last year: ""I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I'm ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.""

Then partially denied them recently:

"In the response, LaBeouf’s lawyer wrote that the actor “denies that Plaintiff [FKA Twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett] has sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission on the part of Defendant, and denies that Plaintiff is entitled to any relief or damages whatsoever.”

In regard to Barnett’s accusations of sexual battery, “none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual,” the response reads. As for the accusations of physical abuse, “the alleged conduct was reasonably necessary for his self-defense and/or safety.""

Also I really admire that she tried to solve issues privately with him instead of immediately making it public. It shows how sincere she is with this. She's not doing it for fame like many would probably say nor is she trying to "destroy his career". She genuinely cares about victims of abuse and genuinely wants reparation for herself and others. Not that there is anything wrong with going to the public directly because these issues need to be spoken about more (when/if the victim is ready and comfortable with that of course). But it just negates the voices attacking her and other women who come forward and are loud about the abuse they face and the voices that try to shut them down.

I really hope this ends well for Twigs. She deserves all the best.

i really hope twigs is able to get the peace and justice she deserves... coming forward in such a public way is a brave thing to do, especially with how the media and people at large often don't believe women and the violence they've faced
