How controversial yet brave :diane:

But she won't.

Totally. I think sometimes people have a very narrow interpretation of pop, but forget sometimes that people like Stevie Knicks made songs that were played on pop radio! One of Gaga’s greatest skills, imo, is her ability to dig into different sounds, genres, and influences and synthesize them into something pop. I’m really hopefully she does something unexpected on the next record.

Yes! As much as Stevie was Pop she still was in a way! Ughhh I just see so much potential with Gaga

I've loved and enjoyed Cheek To Cheek, Joanne and the A Star Is Born soundtrack but Chromatica was like something I NEEDED from her after so many years. I do like her side pop projects but she makes great dance music. I wouldn't mind seeing her record something related to rock or heavy metal some day, even influenced like on Born This Way.

I think she has enough electronic dance pop in her discography. Chromatica was a cool throwback, but I think she’s destined for more than making club hits.

I completely agree...she’s done a lot in that realm...I was watching the Joanne music video and was just amazed, she could keep pushing foward in that direction, not in a way that’s exactly the same as Joanne but I felt like it was a step in the right direction...and like you said, Chromatica was a cool throwback, and I do feel it was necessary for her to learn some things about her past

I agree! BTW is my favorite album of hers, listening to that album brings me to a whole new world

I mean she already did with Joanne and C2C...she could do a HYBRID album of pop mixed with more rock like BTW

I want Gaga to really push the experimental pop of the future...Im getting tired of trap and indie weird pop saturating radio rn...

Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!

I want Gaga to do whatever the **** she wants with nothing to compromise her. Whether thats pop or folk or metal or avant garde minimalist neo-funk, as long as its exactly what she wants.

I’d love for her to revisit the 70s sounds she included in some songs on Joanne. It would be so cool if she did sort of an array of 70s genres like this

Would be great

Imo that is part of the problem, there is at least a part of her that wants to make music her fans will love and that will be successful. To me this is a weakness and undermines her creativity and expression. I feel like she tries to put herself into boxes and it can hinder her work.

How did it not end well? It’s a platinum certified album that won a Grammy :haroon:

i dont think Joanne would do that well if it wasnt for the superbowl halftime show.

I desperately want an album full of vocals like this  Moving beyond arena rock (which she of course is great at writing and singing, e.g. all of her Yoü and I live performances) into some flavor of metal would be another bonus.
