As it may help build some immunity against more harmful viruses like covid-19? For me, I'm inspired by the eastern-based culture of wearing a mask when you're ill to prevent others from getting sick. There's a very compassionate act of masking yourself and trying not to spread those germs. While battling the common cold and flu does help to strengthen the immune system, there's also ways to strength your immune system without contracting illness. Even with masks, the risk of seasonal viruses are still present. I'm no medical professional, so I am curious as to how lower cold/flu infection rate would look over time.
