What diseases will be cured/eradicated/treatable in the coming decades?

The potential is really high with artificial organs, stem cell research mRNA vaccines etc but it all depends of fast and mainstream they become. 

Im really hoping that diabetes can be cured by 2050, blindness and deafness too.

Hopefully we have vaccines against more cancers and life expectancy can reach 90. 

Im not a doctor though so I don’t know much of anything lol.

What do you guys think/any medical ppl here that have inside info?

Cancer would probably one of the last things to be curable. Only early detection, surgery and chemo will probably be the best we can do for the rest of the century.

That necessarily isn't a good thing as people's brain tends to stop functioning normally the older they get (ex. alzheimer, dementia, skitzophrenia etc.) First we would need to figure out what causes these type of diseases.

Well it would depend on the individual. There could be many health 90 year olds if we can improve the our meds

I totally agree but there's also a great percentage of old people who get these types of diseases as early as in their 60s and are begging for death. And keep in mind that euthanasia isn't legal in every country.

I guess I'm being selfish but I have a rare (almost unheard of) autoimmune disease that is currently effecting my eyes causing partial blindness, called Sarcoidosis. So, I guess I would choose that.

Honestly with the breakthroughs happening in the scientific community, I believe anything is possible.

Imagine finding a way to cure many mental/psychological/neurological etc diseases... I know it's more difficult than that though, but it would bring such a change.
