Keep the same energy for other roles of color being taken by white people. There needs to be diversity in film, I just dont think there should be double standards. Scold white actors for doing one thing and then turning around and praising actors of color for doing the same...

Lets keep it real if this was an african queen being played by a white person they would be petitions and calls for boycott flying around , people are still butthurt over gal being casted as cleo patra(even though it is visually accurate)  and halle berry (a lightskin black woman) playing strom.

I personally dont care but if this was the other way around everyone wont be so understanding of the creators artistic direction and thats the bottom line

It makes zero sense. Ann Boleyn was an actual figure. She was not a character. A character is Ariel, in the little mermaid. It doesn’t matter what Ariel’s race is. She is a character from fiction. Ann Boleyn is an actual person. 
 
Each historical figure should be played to accuracy, not to fit some agenda. Jesus being white, is and was and agenda. It was innacurate. This is no different. If you are against historical figures being played by white people, then you should feel the samE way for historical figures in Northern Europe. This is the site of little simple minded hypocrites.

So… a white woman can’t play Harriet Tubman a historically black woman but a black woman CAN play a literal historically white woman? No, I’m not saying it would be ok for a white woman to play Harriet which is exactly why it is not ok for a black woman to play Anne Boleyn.
