No wonder the song gave me 100 gecs teas! I’m hoping that Rebecca Black goes more into this direction if she ever makes an album.

i mean she already has connections with the right people (100 gecs, weston allen, dorian electra, umru, etc.), so if she decides to go full on bubblegum bass/hyperpop then she'll fit right in.

the single she released (girlfriend) is very normal pop.

Not gonna listen to it regularly but turning Friday into a hyperpop track is ****ing brilliant. PC Music producers took what people hated about Friday in 2011 (cringey lyrics, usage of autotune, poor mixing) and turned it into a whole genre that gets acclaim from Pitchfork.

The public HATED Friday until it was looked back with fondness and 'why were people so mean? this was actually a bop!' nostalgia, and they're definitely gonna do the same with this remix 10 years from now.
