She really called her a baby in Stewie Griffin’s voice, I don’t think that’s very nice.

Humor was different in the 00s and the PC culture didn’t exist back then. Get over it fr

So Craig Ferguson, noted recovering addict who dealt with his own issues with the press, was able through see through the madness and identify that it was wrong to kick Britney while she was down.

I don't know what else you're trying to prove here. 2007 was nearly 15 years ago. We do not live in a cultural vacuum, time has passed and things have changed. Kids born in that year are now in high school. It might be healthier and more productive to focus on the current headlines about Britney's wellbeing instead of digging up old clips to earn posting points on a forum :oprah:

Why are you so angry? Are you ok?

They are all productive conversations. You can't focus on the future without knowing the past.

Please don't gaslight me. "Why are you so angry? Are you ok?" is an attempt to reframe what I said, when it's clear that I was calmly making a statement in response to your post.

I don't think these are productive conversations, especially since several of the first replies are reads towards people who participated in another thread about bad jokes Sarah Silverman made in that same year. Your thread seems like a response to that as well, which probably should've been posted in that thread instead.

I think a more productive conversation would be about the next steps in Britney's freedom. The documentary that came out. The supportive statements her boyfriend just made publicly. If you truly care about Britney, you should be focused on the rapidly unfolding story that could lead to her freedom instead of trying to incite emotions by posted 15 year old clips.

Didn't you make a thread last night about how "rude" people were being to you on here? :huntyga:

It seems to me like you just have a problem with hearing any opinion that doesn't align with your own.

People were degrading other users for being mad about a comedian overstepping boundaries and making fun of Britney Spears and her children at the 2007 VMAs.

Some people degraded- but the issue here, is comedians do this, and have historically done this for decades. Most celebrities understand it comes with the territory of being successful, and they just write it off, or pay it zero attention. They even say it in interviews.. Most of the posters here don’t care or have never cared about it until they dug up a comedian making jokes about Britney in 2007. Do these same posters boycott roasts? Do they boycott Bianca Del Rio’s whole gig? Joan rivers? Cathy Griffin? There is a lot of hypocrisy coming from a lot of you posters.

I am defending Britney Spears and being polite. You talking like this is not a good look.

And by the way, falsely accusing people of manipulation is gaslighting in itself.

You're right, lets ban all threads on a casual fan site that aren't 'productive' - people want to talk about Craig Ferguson? WELL TOO BAD - not productive... Pointless threads discussing how JnD isn't a bad song? Definitely not productive, why, they could be talking about Britney's conservatorship in a productive way - what the hell are those people doing :bradley:

I like how you think nagging people into having conversations you wanna have will achieve anything, as if among the 20+ anons who will see them there is some powerful political figure and you will sway them with your very persuasive rhetoric...

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

Why do I clearly bother you so much? :bear:

Where did I suggest we should ban anything? How is my reply to a thread on a public forum "nagging people into having conversations I want to have"? Did you not read anything I wrote in my posts? Your response is incredibly rude and antagonistic - I did nothing to you.

Your lack of reading comprehension is not my problem. Maybe you should take your username as a suggestion and lurk more. And maybe I should stop trying to contribute anything to this forum when clearly so many of you just want to spill tea hunty and I oop-! and flamebait each other with 15 year old clips and sound bites.

He was one of the best late night hosts for sure! I always loved it when he had Amy Sedaris on, their chemistry was amazing :diane:
