She wasn't like the other girls. being rude and disrespectful about how the typical pop star dressed and behaved isn’t “not like other girls”, it’s just called being rude and disrespectful. It was normal to be bitchy back then. Nobody batted an eye to what Pink was singing about, we knew it was a reference to the bimbo culture. It's only now that people are raising eyebrows about it. Franch Toast 26,800
I didn't watch all of the videos, but from what I saw, I didn't see anything hugely terrible. (Please don't tell me y'all are upset at her takedowns of abuser Chris Brown or Kanye.) Some things can be taken out of context and exploited by the media. The media loves nothing more than pitting women against each other and fabricating petty drama where there is none. For example, I was recently watching an interview with our new LGBT+ queen, Ms. JoJo Siwa, and she was talking about how Gwen Stefani gave her advice at the Kids' Choice Awards (or whatever they're called; the ones hosted by Nickelodeon) a couple of years ago. The advice was to keep her clothes on; Gwen mentioned that advice had worked for her and that she wanted to share it with JoJo. Some might interpret this as Gwen being shady toward women singers who dress more provocatively, but she also could've just been offering some well-intentioned big sister/motherly advice to an emerging young talent. But people love to take things out of context. I'm not a fan of dragging down others either, and shaming anyone for how they dress is wrong, but I don't see Pink acting like that now, and let's not act like Gaga hasn't been shady in her own right. rasclautmangos 2,746
I think Pink hated being compared to Britney, but I don't recall her ever saying anything too bad about her.
