It seems to be the popular opinion in this fanbase that Born This Way is Gaga’s best album? So what do you think, do you agree?

I personally do think Born This Way is her best era but album wise I don’t think so but it’s definitely in my top 3.

yes, followed by CHROMÁTICA

Exactly although for me it’s switched! Chromatica is #1 for me personally.

The Edge of Glory, Judas, Marry The Night, Hair, Scheiße, Bad Kids, Bloody Mary... Yeah

The production is chaotically perfect. Even the songs I don't love are great. It's all so dark, grungy and hard-hitting. I love the intense beats and how every little sound was placed with precision.

For me it is her best album.

BTW is the album I identify her the most with. It’s heavy, it’s rebellious, it’s experimental in all the perfect places, and it’s also commercial enough as a piece of work to spawn multiple successful singles. The messages in the album are classic Gaga, the the music videos show Gaga at her peak. Everything about the era, including the theatrics that are sonically there (as opposed to TF/TFM, where she relied heavily on the vessel of the music to portrayed her image) is perfect.

I think with the accompanying promotion and the era as a whole BTW really is her best body of work.

Yes!!! It's definitely her best. A bit messy and chaotic, all over the place sometimes, rough, glamorous, rock vibes, dark aesthetics but beautiful messages. It's the definition of Gaga.

Some people may say TFM is her best, and I don't agree but I can see why they say this. TFM is the album that put Gaga everywhere, and the songs in it are the ones most people know Gaga for. But, in my opinion, what makes BTW better is that it's risky. See, after TFM, people were expecting Gaga's sophomore album and something that was GP friendly, but Gaga saw an opportunity to make an impact, to make statements, to help others through music, and she did it even though she knew she could get some backlash. And it had some consequences for her career, and she didn't care. BTW is her best album because she had something to say, and she said it when the whole world was listening, and she didn't care about whether people was comfortable hearing those thing or not.

Yes. Its still too early for me to place Chromatica yet, I need a few more years with it.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I don't know if it's her BEST, BEST. I think TFM is more cohesive and complete, but overall BTW is my fav album from her because of personal reasons.

It's like her "core" element, like you can almost feel her essence on this album.

And there's so many topics in each song...

Bravery, love, self acceptance, overcoming things, immigration, self-identity, women rights, sex, death, spiritual connection, friendship...
