Better album closer

I never liked Applause, so I guess Babylon (although I listen to it quite rare compared to other tracks on Chromatica)

Babylon has really grown on me and the sax in it is just heaven. If it had a music video I would probably say it but the Applause video is (for me) one of the best ever. It is so artistic and the choreo is amazing in it.

I honestly feel a little salty at Babylon being the closer (although I don't know where else it would fit tbf) because I like the idea of Chromatica ending Replay then Sine from Above. I then feel like it loops perfectly back to Alice as if this was a continuous cycle.

Starting with Alice it's an album about Gaga experiencing trauma feeling lost and then healing and freeing herself through music, with the closer Sine from Above being that climactic healing moment. Starting with Sine from Above it's Gaga finding healing through music, Alice is about her looking to find wonderland through music, Stupid Love is her putting herself out there again and then it's back into the trauma and healing through music again. Honestly listen to Sine from Above and then Alice and it sounds like they where made to transition into each other.

Applause as a closer makes more sense to me personally.

Babylon makes way more sense as a closing track than Applause ever did. I understand the Applause placement, but Babylon just feels like a MOMENT.

Babylon. Always Babylon. It's her best song (for me)

Big Reputation

Applause, it feels like a natural closer to that album. Babylon is kinda weak

It's so hard to choose because both tracks are great closers despite their flaws. :enigma:

Applause is kinda generic and simple but also an empowered & explosive bop and an ode to her fans. Plus, its meaning got deeper after her hip cirugy

On the other hand, Babylon is short and kinda repetitive but ALSO a confident and stoic 90s-ish bop about not letting gossip make you feel down. Her diva vocals too

Omg :enigma:

babylon for sure, it's such a powerful ending

applause tracklisting doesn't make much sense to me

both are good closers but to go from gypsy to applause was so unatural to me

hard to even fathom which parts you should believe

Poltergeist

ARTPOP's my favorite Gaga album, and I like Applause, but there are so many tracks superior to it that it's actually somewhere on the bottom for me, and Babylon's one of Chromatica's highlights, so Babylon hands down

I've been getting messages from my deep waters

Babylon. The choir, the hand clapping, perfect end to the album. The first time I listened to Chromatica I had a little Mary Jane Holland and cried when Babylon ended. I would say Edge of Glory is the second best closer for an album.
