3 female directors nominated at the Golden Globes

This is good but I hope they keep doing it for the best movies, not because they have to settle for it and have to have 2-3 female directors in there. Like last year at the Oscars, they were dragged because nominees were Tarantino, Scorsese, Phillips, Mendes and Bong Joon-ho but they just happened to be the best movies that year, they wanted Greta there for Little Women. Just glad to see more female directors making movies, they deserve to get recognized for their hard work and I truly believe Frances McDormand made a difference speaking about it when she won that Oscar.

The Trial of Chicago 7 sweeping would be extremely emblematic of the Academy though lol, a civil rights movie focused on white protestors directed by a white man. 

It's not even like its a bad movie, but this year should be the year for indie love, so I hope to god they let that happen.

I agree. Last year was tough no matter who you were because it was truly one of the best years for movies in a LONG time. This year, the three best movies nominated for directing are the ones by women, which is really nice to see.
