The song was not lead single material. It's just not memorable or impactful enough.

I prefer the Kevin Parker/Tame Impala sounding "demo" that Ronson played once - it sounds better than what was released at least.

I love the album but Perfect Illusion is one of the worst songs on it imo because the melodies, lyrics and vocal delivery are not it for me.

Diamond Heart however is a masterpiece.

And it's interesting because they have the same style, instruments and mixing.

I love that song so much, since day one but unfortunately it wasn't reset at all. The only real reset that Gaga gave us was Bad Romance, and saying reset I mean song which changed everything forever
