RRR 3,996 Posted January 31, 2021 Share Posted January 31, 2021 Topic I know stans wanted a Poker Face 3.0 after years of misery with waiting for another pop album and with Cheek 2 Cheek, and then Perfect Illusion was released and the world was taken aback. It was a truly unique song and a powerhouse of a single that was not given the credit it was due by simply being ahead of its time, IMO. What are your thoughts? No bling bling, no avant garde fashion, no hyperbole... Just Gaga. Cultural reset? Hm, in a way maybe. But that stands for Joanne album in general not just the song itself. I think we actually did expect some rock influences though after Mark started working with her. And then that fake leak happened of a dark rock song so lots of us were expecting something along the lines of Perfect Illusion.
