I could see this in Stupid Love tbh, but not Rain On Me. They're asymmetrical and sculptural and have a weird silhouette and that's just refreshing to me. Like a hot pink crab with pieces of coral growing on its shell. Contrasted with things that are glamorous but more common (a sexy but standard cutout dress, a pretty but safe ball gown, etc.), it fits into how I see Gaga's MV worlds much better, so I guess I kinda like it for trying something a bit more daring. That’s 85% of Gaga’s aesthetic I don’t think it looks cheap at all. Some of y’all forget that these are meant to be seen on stage or in a professionally filmed setting, the vibe is totally different compared to seeing it against a plain wall and on a mannequin.
