Our former president was an utter moron psychopath that denied denied denied and now we're the worst 1st world country on death, infections, vaccines, etc. It had nothing to do with the media. I myself and others i know for that reason did not innitially think it was as big a deal as they were making it out to be. They did the same dam thing with H1N1, Sars, Mad Cow Disease, Zika Virus and whatever else. Some of them to a greater extent than others but its always the sky is falling Guess what, do that for viewers and when something is actually extra bad u get numb to it and dont take it as seriously If that didnt happen with u great. But it happened with a lot of people and im sure it happened to a lot of politicians who were caught off guard as well. Maybe Trump had a lot of serious inside information early on but it doesnt mean every country did. I find it unfair that everyone is so harsh with their government all the time now knowing now how it all turned out. We dont have cristal balls we cant always know how something will turn out. And given the massive costs of economy shutdowns its not surprising they dont instantly assume the worst case scenario and resort to that everytime theres a threat. This time it turned out to be really bad. But its been over 100 years with dozens of threats in the mean time since.
