I'm curious how he will go about distributing the $2000 stimulus because, for instance, my friend was denied the $600 even though he's in the second lowest tax bracket and in school paying his own way through it. Meanwhile my cousin who is from a 1%er family got it and said "if it goes to $2000 with a new senate should i get chin implants?"

Something seems a little broken

Does their parent claim them as a dependent? If so, that’s probably why. If you don’t file your own tax returns you don’t qualify (as of the last stimulus)

Maybe Biden is going to be more progressive than we anticipated. The current circumstances may force him to take on more leftist positions than he otherwise would've. He should send out the checks with his and Kamala's name on it, and secure a 2024 advantage for him or Kamala if she is going to run for president then.

Thank god!  2,000 for SO many is rent, utilities and/or food on the table. Also, don’t be mad if people are blowing this money on stupid stuff... stimulus checks are literally designed to stimulate the economy. It’s better for people to blow the money and put it back into the economy that has been devastated by the virus.

Can we just...keep giving away money like this? Like give me my check, but I'm concerned. Will this deflate the dollar?

No, it won’t. Y’all good. This is gonna save the economy, not ruin it

I'm so interested in how the federal government organizes all these expenditures and allocates all of this money, like not from a critical standpoint but mere curiosity. It must be a colossal task.

For anyone confused, this is adding $1400 to the $600 we already received by the package they passed a few weeks ago. So the total stimulus money added together is still $2000. I'm already seeing people saying that they were lied to but I thought people were aware that when they referred to $2000 that they meant in total including the original $600. No one ever promised us $2600.
