One Republic's Human postponed album

I was just browsing iTunes and found out that this album is STILL for pre-order, it's been there since before Chromatica was even announced I think and they postponed the release of it due to COVID19. Have you listened to any of the already released singles ? Do you think they should have dropped it anyway and move on ? I feel really bad for their fans who have been waiting for this for over a year now. This is what I got from Wikipedia:

The album was announced by frontman Ryan Tedder in September 2019, with a planned release in "late November" of that year. Tedder stated that he wanted to put out an album with eight or nine songs and then continue releasing new music in 2020. Tedder later revealed that the album had been delayed until the second quarter of 2020 because it was "physically impossible to finish an album in the timeframe that we thought we needed it", and he believed the album would not be successful if released between Thanksgiving and Christmas.[3] Tedder also said the band had "two years worth of songs just scattered on hard drives" and were trying to find and finish "the best ones" to make "a coherent album out of the last two years".[3] Tedder stated that the May 8th release date was delayed because of it being a "weird time", amid the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] The band also stated, "due to the current circumstances requiring us to distance ourselves from each other and you, the release has been postponed."[5]

OMG NOOOO  But if that's what they think would be best for the album, then as a fan, I can understand. Also, I don't know where exactly I read/heard this but I remember Ryan saying, some songs remain unreleased or doesn't make it to the album because it doesn't reflect how they are feeling the song anymore. So with that timeframe, I'm guessing there are lots of decision making to which songs are going to be in the album "Human".

I've been bopping to Kids so much lately. Had that song melody stuck in my head for a couple days before I remembered what song it was.

I’m a huge fan of OneRepublic.  Originally they were going to release an 8-track album in 2019 (Human) and then more singles/an album in 2020.  I think they should have released it and moved on.  The lead (Rescue Me) came out in May 2019.  Didn’t I (the first single released after they officially announced the album) is one of their best songs ever!  Somebody to Love won Songland and is perfect for Ryan Tedder’s voice.  I really like Wanted too, the only song so far I’m not a fan of/don’t listen to regularly is Better days.
