Gaga Shouldn't Release Music Until 2022

Unfortunately the Chromatica era, along with many of the accompanying performances and events were largely cancelled or changed. A coachella set, AMA performance, Grammys performance, along with the original release date of Chromatica were all delayed or cancelled. With the tour now being in question of being cancelled, and Gaga having other duties rapidly approaching, I believe Gaga should put a halt on her musical career until at least 2022. Covid is not going to vanish in the next eleven months, and promoting or starting an era amidst this pandemic is inadvisable. At this point, it'd be in Gaga's best interest to wait until at least spring 2022 to begin a new era, when a plan can be made and concrete plans can be executed. She is not just a singer anymore, Gaga is diversifying and I believe the 2020's will be defined by her movies, and her brand expansion just as much, if not more than her musical releases. Time for fans to read the writing that's been on the wall since 2015...Gaga is not just another popstar and isn't playing by the same rule-book.

I don't agree. Many other artists have been able to release music and find a way of promoting it and performing/making videos. Yes Covid-19 will be here for a while, but thats the way the cookie crumbles. Sometimes we get dealt with bad cards, but when there is a will there is a way. Now is the time to release more music and do virtual performances, not stay silent for whole year while the pandemic calms down

You're bringing up two different points in the OP: 1.) Gaga shouldn't release music until 2022 because of the pandemic, and 2.) people need to understand that Gaga's more than just a pop star. I agree with your second point, but I disagree with your first.

Gaga is more than just a pop star, so I think for the people who constantly want music, they just need to learn to accept the fact that that's not going to happen. She's diversifying her brand and her career, which is great in the long run. I, for one, am sometimes more excited about her acting career than her singing career because she's only just begun in that venture, which provides a lot of opportunity. 

And while I don't think we'll get any more music this year or next year, Gaga shouldn't not release music because of the pandemic. At this point, I just think that's an unwarranted excuse. There are plenty of other singers who still can promote their music during the pandemic. Gaga could too if she really wanted to, but for some reason, that's just not the case.

I don't think she was going to release music this year anyway, she's still too much in love with acting to focus on music as her first interest, but the reasons on the OP are just silly. She is one of the artist that could benefit the most from prerecorded performances and new style of promotion. Whether she likes this way or promoting or not is another thing.

Replying to OP's point, though, I really do believe there is a way to release music and have a fully fleshed-out era, in the midst of a pandemic, and around her filming schedule... if her team really wanted to do it.

As others have mentioned, there are many things she could do that other users have mentioned that have already been done by other artists- pre-recorded performances, live performances from at home/studio set, uploads directly to her YT/VEVO channel (as opposed to waiting for events or talk shows to perform), long-form music visuals, lots of behind-the-scenes videos, fan interactions, etc. The possibilities are all there.

I just don't think she wants to do all that. Which is valid! Just unfortunate for us fans.
