I was horrified when I saw it.  Because for an adult to have a filthy, home with un-made beds and just general disrepair... to be an adult who thinks it's cool to live like a frat boy.  With a bunch of other dirty old senators.  I mean, you can clean a place up, you can pay for some repairs, you can MAKE YOUR BED.  I would NEVER have people over if my place wasn't really clean.  I see it as just a huge red flag.  If you can't run your own house, how can you run the senate.  

Partially, I was joking, but at the end of the day it's a deal breaker for me.  I would never hire someone for almost any job if I knew they would tolerate - and be proud of - living like that.  I mean, he went in there with CNN and it seems like they are proud and not even aware they could have spent some time and money to make it look like the kind of place a self respecting UNITED STATES SENATOR would live.

Those kinds of things, believe it or not, really do say a lot about people. 

Of course he's also sloppy and generally ineffective in his role.  He's a bad communicator, he's not compelling on the national stage.  He's not especially strong in his positions or is well known for principles.  I'd love to see him lose that role and for it to go to someone who knows how to talk to the people and really fight for what's best.

I know people that are successful and extremely good at their craft, but are just lazy in private. You shouldn't judge anyone based on their PRIVATE life, because it's PRIVATE!

People on his level of influence literally work 24 hours a day. The only way he'd manage is by employing someone to do it for him, and maybe he doesn't want to, idk, but I wouldn't judge a person, espcially one who is working all the damn day in one of the highest offices of the nation, by the way they decorate their little apartment.
