why are you trying to tear women down so badly. grow up girl

Why are you coming after me as though I’m the only user to comment on either of these two artists?

You want me to pretend that I think Ava and Billie will have success throughout the decade to appease you and your obsession with never speaking a negative word about anyone female?

I said what I said and I stand by it.

Heaven and Hell peaked at #27 in the U.S, so I’m not sure what you want me to say? That her first era was a success in the states?

Billie Eilish appeals to a certain demographic, and eventually that demographic will grow out of her current style of music. She will too.  Personally, I don’t think she will pivot like some other artists do.

One of these days I hope you will find some fulfillment in your life so as not to have a meltdown every time someone criticizes an artist that you like, or expresses an opinion that is not your own. It is my sincere wish that you got a much-needed hit of whatever it is you were after by quoting me and attempting to drag me tonight.

I'm not "coming after you". I read your comment and it seemed like you were intentionally dragging Billie and Ava and ridiculing them because you don't enjoy them, which is fine, I just think its rude to be like that. And okay???? chart positions are cool... idrc though :// charting doesn't always equal quality of music and i personally saw a lot of drive within ava and believe she genuinely enjoys making mainstream sounding pop music and its a cute vibe for her. heaven & hell was also her debut album that took a couple years to be released after a long ass droplet era where we got salt & sweet but psycho among other songs, so it's kind of early to make these grand judgements on her lacking originality or whatever so many people want to say. i just think some people here have this behaviour of attacking and ripping down artists because THEY personally don't enjoy their music and it's a nasty look to be parading around.

nobodys attacking you girl and i'm not having a meltdown. me criticizing your criticism of someone else isn't a "drag".. get off twitter

Billy Eyelash fad will end by 2023, her goth, over-emo sound will become something that angsty junior high kids listen to, but nobody else.

Amen.

I believe we‘re close to getting a newcomer with similar overnight fame to Justin Bieber ... Billie comes close but the industry demands a newcomer that speaks to the 13 yr olds and could be rule 2020s to mid 2030s

Dua Lipa... I am feeling the same potential I felt with Gaga in 2009 and with Britney earlier.. Not that I’m comparing them in ANY way possible. I just feel like she has A LOT of potential.

so much jealousy towards Dua girl, she have fire and ambition, that Ellie and her constipated a$$ never had 0.001% of Dua's iconic presence, talent etc

No jealousy towards Dua sis. I’m rooting for her, it’s just harder for her cause she’s a woman and she’s not even American. She deserves more success

Dua, Billie, Ariana, Taylor, Rihanna, Adele will all have hits - that's on lock.

I think Gaga will probably have one or two hits, but it really depends on her schedule. If she drops an album or two in the first half of the decade, she'll be fine. But if she focuses more on films, I can see her musical star power declining.

I imagine that the decade will probably be owned by hip-hop / trap / R&B artists, though - not 'pop queens', as we'd like.

I think Harry Styles is one male pop artist to look out for, however.
