i keep forgetting it’s different for every country, thanks for telling me! however legal or not it’s morally incorrect to have a sexual relationship with a 16/17 year old child. the part where this pdf literally adopted the kid and involving himself sexually is just so gross. the part especially where it happened the same year/within that year or adopting him is worse. as a responsible adult and parent, he should’ve let the boy down even if he was the one who initiated this.

It reminds me of my old boss who was in his 40's when he took in a 17 year old girl from a bad family. He gave her a job at our workplace and she would say "he's taken me in like the father I never had". Then as soon as she was turned 18 he ended up leaving his wife and kids for her and eventually married her. Literally groomed her from a young age. At her 21st birthday during his speech he said things like "how did I bag a hot piece like this" and "I'll make her my trophy wife one day" in front of her whole family. He's also known to be a sexual abuser amongst the young women who have worked for him   some people are just scum, and it sucks that this is gonna be used as a representation of the gay community. We're already known as having 'daddy issues' and having the daddy/son mentality/being sexually promiscuous and paedophilic with minors. Sigh.

Ok regardless of whether you think it's gross or not, the man is not a pedophile. Pedophilia is literally the attraction to prepubescent children. 17 year olds aren't prepubescent children.

But yeah, let's potentially ruin a mans life by accusing him of being a pedophile, which he by definition is not
Criticize him for having a sexual relationship with a 16 year old, that's valid, but calling him a pedophile is wrong. Words matter, stop misusing them please.
