I understand that, however I think that all artists, commercial or not, should make the music that they want to make. Sure, this is fine for artists who follow trends and only do what will make the most money, but for the rest of them I don't think there should be this pressure on them from the industry to do certain things. That's just my opinion though; two minutes is far too short for a song.

But streaming came along with the Internet. People used to buy physical copies because they didn't have any other choice, or they could have got illegal copies etc but it was much harder to do. Now it just takes two seconds to go convert a song from Youtube to mp3, people would probably do that, or download ripped off files from the original CDs that you would probably find as easily as movies/series etc, without the existence of streaming platforms.

Wow I was thinking about this a couple days ago. You think artists will compromise by putting out a short version of an album first, and then the official extended version w extra lyrics, melodies n such for the super fans? I think that’s a smart idea. Altho you could run into problems performing the song live, but Gaga always shortens her songs so

There was always the "filler" part inside a song, usually at the end, when there was nothing to tell anymore so it's just the chorus and pre-chorus on repeat for a minute or two.. so I agree, let's just cut it.. I mean, for example, Gaga's Hair, it's a giant pile of filler, it starts beautiful and then just repeats itself to death.

Like I said in another post, the problem came with the internet. Streaming is just a band-aid on a war wound.

it's sad and scary. On the other we don't really know if we need that much of attention. Maybe if we couldn't fix our brain on anything we couldn't either hate people nor make war and ****.
