hate that, most of my favorite songs are 5+ minutes, some even 6+

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Can't wait to ignore all future music.

Also dont really see the connection between getting past 30 seconds and the overall song length...

If you get royalties (of 0.000000000000000000000000001 cents) past those what does it matter if there are 8 more minutes after those or just 1....

I think there are ways to make short songs work and happen (back in the early days of music a lot of songs were very short too) but due to having been brought up with songs that are mostly 3-4 minutes long I think a lot of them come out sounding unfinished.

Also if you dont even listen to a full song are you even into music in the first place?

The thing is that if the song is short (and good) people will replay it. 10 streams for a 2 minutes long song makes more money than 2 streams for a 5 minutes song, even if the melody/ instrumental is the same.

I much prefer longer songs. 2 minutes isn't enough time to get into a song properly.

I don’t skip songs until they’re like 20-30 seconds from being done lol or I just won’t listen to that song in the first place :laughga: I will start songs again if I feel like I didn’t fully experience it the way I wanted lmao

This is so depressing, even as a kid I hated short songs because they were over so quickly! Give me longer songs any day of the week.
