homomo 23,847 Posted December 22, 2020 Share Posted December 22, 2020 Not sure about the next 5 years, but I feel these are inevitable sometime during the 2020s: - Jazz album - Rock/Metal (influenced) album - Pop/Dance album - Piano/Acoustic album She’s been very vocal about getting married and having children in the past. I’m sure one or both of these events will happen this decade. She no longer has anything to prove to the world, and we’ve learned that she doesn’t need to stay in the public eye to maintain popularity over time. But I do care about quality. If she’s going to release one movie, make it a good one. If she’s going to release one album, make it an exceptional one. Gaga has already given us such a large and wide-ranging discography to keep us fed for decades. She already had her impact on the cultural zeitgeist. I don’t really need new party music from her (there’s always an up-and-coming pop girl for that, and it wouldn’t really demonstrate artistic growth IMO). I also don’t need her to prove that she can do another genre just for the hell of it and come off as a phony. I don’t need a radio hit either. But I would love if she became one of those artists who doesn’t always put out a new record, but when they do, it’s f*****g good (like Adele, Lorde, Robyn, and maybe Beyonce).
