Next 5 years

I was thinking about what I think would be a good “next 5 years” of Gaga’s discography and I think this would please a lot of people, while also not being too optimistic / demanding  What are your thoughts? Considering she already has C2C2, extra Chromatica tracks, and a handful of unreleased music then it really wouldn’t be too much writing / recording, even though it looks like a lot of material in 5 years. Would you still stan if this was her rollout? And which project would you be most excited for? I’m ready for the gays to get annoyed about no mention of disco, but maybe there’s some in the unreleased tracks album 

Spring 2021: Chromatica IV (EP) 

Fall 2021: CTC2 (LP)

Fall 2022: LG7 (LP) A metal / hard rock album 

Summer 2023: An unreleased tracks album (no era really, just something to release while she’s doing other things, also it’s her 15 year anniversary) (LP)

Fall 2025: LG8 (LP) An RNB / Mariah Carey sound album.

Also Gaga said she wanted to release different kinds of music this decade so I think expecting her to keep releasing dance pop albums like it’s 2008 - 2013 isn’t an option

People are seeing CTC 2.0 coming since 2015 and they are still not ready to let it go 

It's probably in her hard drive somewhere between original LG5 and Act 2

 

Most of the metal / rock album, CTC 2.0 and unreleased tracks album thoughts are fan fantasies that will never happen tbh

I don’t think Gaga won’t release another jazz album though. She clearly likes the genre, she pushed for a jazz and piano show in Vegas and it ended up being more successful than Enigma. I agree the rock album may be a stretch, but it would be almost anticlimactic if she never released something like that, especially while she’s at her strongest vocally.

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean she can’t release music. That’s what this thread is about, her discography.  you can still act and release music, she’s been doing that for the past five years.

Yes of course, she’ll keep releasing music and experimenting with more genres

There was a rumor of a shocking announcement.  If that's true, I'd have to guess it's a baby a long time off.

Not saying it wouldn't be cool, but hey it's Lady Gaga and you know as much as me that she hates doing twice the same or that she can be very tough when it's about releasing new projects (changes of plans, scrapping interesting stuff and so on)...

I just feel like the fact a new Gaga / Tony album still hasn't happened after so long (even if there were some serious talks about it in 2015) is telling a lot about how much the plans has been scrapped long time ago. Especially Tony has confirmed several times over the last few years that he is is wishing to make a second album but no plans for this are done.

And concerning a rock album and Best Of album / Unreleased tracks album. It has been talked a lot for over a decade and still hasn't happened...

LG7 is guaranteed at least. So is LG8 but there are usually ~4 years between her albums now.

2021 - filming for Gucci starts, Interscope could reissue Chromatica with a handful of new tracks, maybe even a remix album too. I personally don't see The Chromatica Ball going ahead and it'll end up just being cancelled, she could probably even do another movie towards autumn 2021 for release in 2022.  Maybe even starting her own family with Michael during 2021 too. 

2022 - I don't personally see much going on in this year besides promoting movies and spending time with her family. It would be like late 2015 where she would post on social media but wouldn't be doing much "work wise"

2023 - she could start working on LG7. I'd personally like to see a rock or a metal album like many other fans here do to, however I'm not expecting a specific genre. Possibly even sign on to do another movie.

2024 - LG7 rollout starts, we get a stadium tour again. Possibly more dates than The Chromatica Ball has planned but no less than say thirty shows. 

2025 - spending time with her family like 2022.
