I agree. I don't get why people seem unbothered by this. It's HUGE and desperate dumping by an artist who should know better.:noparty:

If releasing five versions of a song at a discount of $0.69, and then dropping it to $0.48 after four days, and then to $0.39 two days after that isn’t desperate, than what is?

btw $0.39 is the minimum price a song can be sold to count as a sale towards billboard

The difference is Amazon set the price for BTW at $0.99 and paid Interscope/UMG the remaining wholesale value of the digital album for this one day sale to promote Amazon Cloud Drive.

Taylor and her team chose to release multiple versions of the song and discount the discounts throughout the week so get higher sales. Sure, Billboard allows it, but it’s still a cheap tactic.

At least she’s actively doing something for her music. She cares.

She’s massive in the most important music market in the world. I don’t think she’s losing any sleep over Europe. (And she’s not because she still does pretty well there too. :billie:)

This wasn’t Gaga or her team’s idea. They sold the albums to Amazon for FULL prize and AMAZON decided to sell them for 99 cents as a part of their own promo. The least you could do is educate yourself before comparing Gaga to Taylor’s desperate tactics :billie:

Lmao with Swiftsters dragging Gaga every single comment, yeah we know she doesn't promote Chromatica, but do we know if she's doing well with all her personal and health problems she has to deal? Do you think is easy to promote and pretend everything is cool when its clearly not? Sorry but this type of artists like Taylor only cares about sales, and it's well known, Gaga is different and we owe her respect with her decisions as her fans who supposedly "love" her. Enjoy other artist like this woman or Dua but please, leave Gaga alone, is tiring.
