The Mandalorian S2 Finale - Thoughts?

Honestly, I kinda despise the whole show:bradley:

You know, some episodes are kinda ok, some are pretty engaging, with great action or appearances from established characters, but in the end it's all so mediocre. Like when we talk about the actual characters of the show only Mando and Grogu had actual chemistry and development, the rest of the story is just... Not there.

The only storyline that was finished after 2 seasons was Grogu finding a Jedi, the rest of it - Gideon's experiments, the Darksaber, whatever the hell Ahsoka is up to - all of that was just wasted on setting up spin-offs and whatever.

But overall, yes, it's an enjoyable show, but people out there are praising it a little TOO much. Ahsoka shows up for an episode, kills some folks and namedropps a cartoon character? Yessss, 10/10 storytelling, better than the whole sequel trilogy! Luke shows up, slices up some droids, says a few incredibly basic lines with almost no emotion and leaves? WOW, now this is Luke, not the a**hole from the sequels.

The creators are just pandering to the toxic majority of SW fans that want old characters being badasses, not actual story with emotion, logic and character development.

Omg it’s like you took the words right out of my brain :air: I literally just had a close friend make a Facebook vague post about me and how ‘no one cares about my negative opinions’ and if I don’t like Star Wars why don’t I just not watch it and it really hurt me tbh. I’m glad I’m not alone and others are not wowed by this show :bradley:

The thing is I like Star Wars so much! I have a deep love for the original trilogy, but I still need Star Wars to be actually good to like it, not just Star Wars related. And for me the Mandalorian did not deliver that.

Even the prequels at least have entertainment value in that they’re comically bad. But pretty much everything since then has been mediocre and dull.

Yeah... Well... There's always somebody who pees in the soup for the good balance...
