Pennywise 35,869
I think it is quite... "boring" compared to her other albums, but I don't mean boring in a bad sense. There are some songs that miss the mark for me, especially Come to Mama and Hey Girl, but otherwise it is a solid album with great vocals and instrumentals. I do think it's a bit "half-baked" in the sense that I believe Gaga could have gone way harder in that direction, but the album itself is not bad. I also think she shouldn't have had the album named "Joanne". A song for Joanne is okay, but a whole album and era and interviews on her aunt just felt disingenuine to me, even though I know for a fact that Gaga probably didn't see it that way at all. So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Massive Monster 4,917
Quality album Phenomenal production Stand outs for me are Diamond Heart (some of her best vocals), Joanne has a beautiful chorus, John Wayne makes you bop, Dancin In Circles is so hot and reminds me of Alejandro/Ace Of Bace Kind regards

I love Joanne as the album name When I heard the news it made so much sense to me. And still does with songs about sex and having fun etc because... I really perceive the album as Gaga living a life her aunt didn't get to live (and we know that Gaga does that prayer to Joanne before concerts, she did that during the Monster Ball). Rather than the album being ABOUT her aunt/her death. So Gaga is basically Joanne. Hence the infamous "Call me Joanne" and the signature and all that. That said... that pink cowboy outfit and make-up can burn Kind regards

WhiteWitch 720
I adore almost all the songs, but I was also in a low point of my life when it came out, so It’s not something I’ve chosen to listen to either in 2020.
Miel 15,009
I was okay with it when it first came out. Over the years, I've come to love it more and more. It's honestly in my top three of Gaga albums. Although I think it's, weirdly enough, more enigmatic and goofier than Chromatica (which has more "authentic" and "personal" writing), I think it's songwriting is definitely much more emotionally evocative. And not because it's more in the ballad range of music, but because it's just really, really good songwriting. Probably some of her best. Also, I always viewed ASIB as the even-better successor to Joanne, musically. 3 points in and ready for more
