Should Gaga bring hyperpop to mainstream

Technically, up to this day, it’s still an underground sound and has its own small circle.

I have this feeling that Gaga holds the key to bringing it into Top 40 Radio(on top of it).

It will be a huge breakthrough and imagine the thousands of articles saying Gaga brought another sound to the table just like she did in 2008. Not that we’ll give her credit for creating it but technically she’ll bring it to the GP.

This would be my dream come true. Charli XCX kinda did it in a way but Gaga would definitely push it a lot further into the mainstream. I don't see it happening though.

I was really hoping/expecting LG6 to be like this, with the rumoured producers.

I'm definitely happy with the 90s house sound we got but I would still really love to see her go in this direction. I don't know why but it just seems right for her. It just seems like it would make so much sense.

yes and

The genre is nice but for gheis only. It is too hurtful for GP's ears and will never be big :haroon:

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

I would say you can incorporate some of its elements and still make it GP-friendly. I think some risk-taking can really pay off both artistically and commercially if done right.

Hmm I feel like if Chromatica wasn't like this, no other LG will be

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

My thoughts exactly. I think this was the last chance of Gaga going all out with maximalistic pop music and she went the bloodpop way instead of the hyperpop pc-music way which was er- sort of disappointing but still pretty good.

I don't really like the examples up here, because they're a bit to monotonous for me.
But could see her use it in some parts of new pop songs.

I'd rather see her go the rock or even metal influenced route like Miley did recently.
Or like Poppy did earlier, and even Dojas recent Say So performence, I really liked that.
It somehow brings me back to the 2000s rock pop sound.

I mean Gaga obviously likes metal and rock and was in talks to work with Anthrax and Metallica some years ago if I remember correctly.

trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken but you can still see the crack in that ************s reflection.

I'd much prefer her to tackle some sick underground futuredub beats with alternative producers.

And hire the amazing Irish artist Conor Harrington to paint the album artwork, just like Rihanna and FKA Twigs did for their most recent albums.
