spector 1,919
if what she claims is to be taken seriously (protecting the skin barrier, balancing the skin microbiome, and reducing inflammation caused by internal/external stressors), she is scientifically obliged to make her products parfum- and essential oil-free (the only exception is wash-off treatments, e.g., cleansers). unfortunately, it won't happen, which, to me, preemptively indicates that, at best, her line will be fenty 2.0 with jlo beauty-esque slogans: ordinary formulas with extraordinary claims that cannot be traced back to, and dermatologically proven by, the used/chosen/promoted ingredients. if i'm being harsh, i apologize, but i've been into skincare for a year now, and i'm very skeptical when it comes to celebrity lines. also, releasing skincare products within the current state of the beauty community/cosmeceutical industry is quite risqué (imagine if she decides to release a sunscreen...). if she does, tho, i'll be waiting for kween dr. dray's review. savage times await, i don't think we are ready stella + elliot = stelliot

Even Fenty Skin (which everyone expected to be good because of the reputation of Fenty Beauty) was a disappointment. I hate it when skincare is marketed this way, with such false claims. And, for the text Gaga posted, we can already see that she's gonna follow the fake "ballance" routine, which just means overpriced plain formulations. This market is so terribly handled and there are many ways to make money offering actual good products at the same time, so I feel releasing a skincare line right now is risky, since Haus Labs is not even a standart on its own. G U C C I 5,469
I sincerely hope as a start up company she has put more effort & capital into the skincare line than the makeup. I own most of the Haus Labs products and they are in no way a standout compared to any other brand in their price point or even below it. The only exception being the eyeliner. Fenty Beauty was a huge disappointment, much like the bulk of all the Kardashian-Jenner and other celebrity skin care lines. Any product that actually gives you the results you expect and wish for is going to cost 5x more and be drastically different than anything Gaga or another celeb would be selling. Having said that I will be purchasing to try it out and I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the products.
