I continue to be unsatisfied with users' explanations of why Gaga and her team, specifically, are so messy with the scrapped songs and albums.

Obviously, every artist will have a lot of demos and a lot of unreleased tracks. But with the Haus, it just seems different

Reading this mafe me realize just how messy counthing her albums is. So right now, what is the general consensus?

1. The Fame

2. The Fame Monster

3. Born This Way

4. ARTPOP

5. Joanne

6. Chromatica

Side projects: Cheek To Cheek, A Star Is Born OST

I mean, that doesn't exactly make much sense now, does it?

C2C and ASIB had their own eras.

Joanne fits much more cleanly into the C2C/ASIB phase than PopGa.

If we're going by the books, TF/TFM should really be ciunted as one album.

So which is it?? :enigma:

I think it’s a lot of Gaga using her social media to convince her label that so many fans support her idea

But then what confuses me is they just let her completely change direction

We’re counting the albums the way Interscope counts them, so ASIB and C2C don’t count as albums

I mean, we most definetly count them as albums to some extent. You can see it whenever people post "Gaga achieves X albums over 1B streams/10M WW SPS". ASIB is always taken into account and fans seem to find it very unfair whenever some publication doesn't.

Even C2C is seen as an album when we (or Billboard) brag about Gaga being one of a couple women to have 6 albums debuting at #1 on the BB200.

I know but in terms of LG5 and LG6 like Gaga albums we know which are LG1-6 and so does Gaga

No because Gaga considers TFM as a separate album she’s said it many times.

C2C is covers and ASIB is music written from the perspective of a fictional character.

Joanne is original pop music from Gaga/Stefani’s personal inspiration. Not a cover, not based on a movie script, it’s her personal artistic expression.

Totally agree about TFM and Joanne.  They should be counted for the reasons you state.

The reason I wouldn't include C2C is not because it's covers, but because it's a Gaga/Tony album, not a Gaga album.

I attend more jazz concerts than all other genres combined.  Nearly every song performed are the old jazz standards such as the songs on C2C.  The albums by legendary jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald are also covers of those same jazz standards and they are counted as albums by those singers.

I live outside the space time continuum.

ASIB is a soundtrack, and some of the songs aren’t even gaga’s. so that’s why that’s not an album.

C2C isn’t an album because it’s all covers and it’s a duet album. it’s moreso a compilation of jazz covers than a studio album.

the fame monster is long enough to be an album (34 mins) and has its own concept and era. it’s only an EP to boost sales for the fame.

ARTPOP was such a cumshot, it literally just screamed 'gaga' and all of the things gaga is. It was literally all of gaga, she showed out hard for ARTPOP until there was no gaga like that left.
