Shawn mendes misgendered Sam smith on iheart jingle ball 2020

Why are we to assume that Shawn follows Sam Smith's life? Personally I was not aware that Sam made the choice have their pronouns different until a few weeks ago. Someone on both the iHeart Team and Shawn's team dropped the ball here.

I once mis-gendered someone and I genuinely felt horrible. But instead of throwing me under the bus and calling me a violent POS, they took the time to educate me on their preferred pronouns and the importance of respecting their choice and it was so refreshing. More people need to take that approach instead of assuming ill intent.

Everyone does that. This ill intent is a myth that the right likes to expand way beyond its real limits.

My god you people  I said reported jokingly and it wasn't my intent to be rude. It's just that people here in GGD for some reason always come for the NBs. You should take a look at the thread that was made when Sam Smith announced their pronouns. It's a clusterfvck of people denying their validity. And I understand how people can get confused and may need time to adapt, I never dragged Shawn and although I believe it's not a good look I wouldn't cancel him for such a non-event either. I wrote a comment earlier trying to clear things up. I wrote reported to be sassy but my worries were real and based on people having a hard time coming into terms with the existence of people outside the gender binary, something that I've seen time and time again here.

These types of discussions are not a joking matter. The comments you made were neither funny nor necessary. You dug your grave, now lay in it.

Yeah I could've phrased it better, but know that I wasn't looking to freely drag people. I see nb-erasure everywhere and I tend to overreact.
