The way he unintentionally mispronounced Sam and some of y'all act as if he burned all of the worlds' trees  . Calm down, as long as he apologizes it's not THAT big of a deal.

Also, this pronoun thing is relatively new and people are still used to only have he/she. Give us time to adopt, please

If people re-framed the idea of misgendering as a matter of impoliteness rather then an act of violence, there would be a lot less resistance for non-queer folks adapting to non-bianary pro-nouns, and a lot less unnecessary hostility when people slip up.

I agree that there are bigger things in the world, but if someone wants to go by another set of pronouns, then people should be respectful of that. I don't think Shawn was ill-intentioned, so I certainly don't think he could be "cancelled," but I do think we need to remind people of these things because if we don't, no progress can be made.

Guys come on  don't drag me like this. First of all, I didn't report anyone here. Second of all, my point still stands: that Shawn could have been mistaken and in that case he should apologize, no one will be mad at him the same way no one is mad at someone using the wrong pronouns the first few times. Sam Smith had a highly publicized pronoun change so I'm surprised that someoen in the industry isn't aware of this. But I'm not mad at anyone and I respect your stance as long as you don't deny the existence of NB people. And no one is so that's that.
