Big Brother in Orwell’s 1984 would not had been able to make his lies spread if a large number of people were not willing to unquestionably believe his falsehoods. I mean, why wouldn’t he just want to retire already so he can just stay home and play golf all day?? Honest question. Because I know damn well the presidency has made his life pretty bad and/or stressful, I mean being hated by half the nation, dealing with “fake news” and being scrutinized literally every single day, and dealing with people/staff that probably want nothing to do with him....
